A wonderful way to engage with other civic-minded individuals, give back to the community and hone your leadership skills.

Event Planning Committee

We welcome your talent and time in planning, marketing and executing our first "Everyone Loves Science" event, where we will bring together all the girls from our sites to showcase their work, and invite scientists to share their excitement with the public. Planning will begin in earnest in mid-February.
Commitment: Average 1-2 hrs a week, now till mid-May. Discrete projects available within this time frame.

Online Auction Committee

Oversee the solicitation, valuation, online posting and dissemination of gifts, as well as marketing of the auction. Auction period: 1st two weeks of November.
Commitment: 1-2 hrs a week.

"Science of Cooking" Event Committee

Help us make new friends by seeking restaurants/chefs who will host a series of "Science of Cooking" salons to benefit Science Club for Girls. The committee helps identify hosts and scientists who can speak, develop invitation lists, invitations, and informational materials.
Commitment: 1-2 hrs a week.

Unpredictable schedule but can spare a few hours a week working on your own?

Curriculum Development

We're especially looking to develop/enhance our new curriculum on sustainability and the environment (oceans & climate change); genetics and cancer; public health; and engineering with "heart". Help us find and adapt existing curriculum and especially visual resources for after school.
Commitment: 2-3 hrs a week over 2-3 mos.

Website updates

Upload files and update content as requested.

Graphic Design

Help us design posters, event invitations, program book and other print materials (will have to honor time crunches).

Letter-writing, mailings, collating registration information, filing etc.
Minimum commitment: 3 hours a week.
