Science Club for Girls

Sonal joined Science Club for Girls in 2009 as the Special Programs Coordinator / Massachusetts Promise Fellow following a career shift from the financial sector. She managed all of the logistics for Show Me the Science, our reverse science fair events, as well as our school vacation week programs in February and April. Sonal also grew and managed our Boston programs/partnerships and built our social media/on-line presence.

In addition to being the Strategic Partnerships and Boston Programs Manager, Sonal also served as the Massachusetts Promise Senior Fellow for promotions, marketing and branding as a part of MPF Class XII.

Born and raised in Boston, she attended Northeastern University where she graduated with a degree in Business Administration. Sonal has also volunteered with a variety of other organizations including the The Food Project, Math*Stars, Growing Places Garden Project and the Mason Pilot School.

In September 2010, Sonal began a dual MS-MBA program. In her pursuit of the MS-MBA she aims to gain the knowledge and skills to help non-profits leverage technology to further support their respective missions and to bring varied sectors together to create stronger collaborations and mutually beneficial partnerships, as she has done at Science Club for Girls.

Tenure: August 2009 - August 2011
