Erika joined Science Club for Girls in 2008 as the Youth Development Coordinator. She directs the Career Exploration, Leadership, Life Skills (CELLS) program, which consists of the Media Team and the Junior Mentor program. Throughout the year she can be found at our clubs four days a week running workshops and assisting in site management; in addition to organizing once-a-semester field trips, biannual social gatherings, and an annual retreat. She also runs a coordinated mentoring program for Cambridge middle school girls facing socio-emotional or academic challenges.
Erika attended Boston College and graduated with a B.A. in History. During her undergraduate career, she developed and implemented several out-of-school-time programs for youth in Uganda, South Africa, and Ghana. Meanwhile, Erika headed university efforts to increase the recruitment and retention of students of color. Upon graduation, she served for a year at Squashbusters as the Academic & Community Service Coordinator.
