Girls as Makers and Innovators

How do we create a generation of diverse, creative innovators comfortable with technology, and facile with interdisciplinary thinking? Show middle school girls how exciting these fields are and the cool projects they can make!

The Boston Mayor’s New Urban Mechanics Initiative will be hosting “Girls Make the City” on Friday August 23rd from 10 am to 2:30 pm in the Innovation District to introduce middle school girls in Boston and Cambridge to some great role models (including our executive director!) and cool workshops including 3D printing, LED jewellery making etc.
