A few of our favourite programs and directories
Girls Angle, a truly innovative math program here in Cambridge. (Full disclosure, our ED and a board member are advisors to the group).
Camp Kaleidoscope is a joyful, highly experiential spring and summer experience for 6-13 year olds.
Techbridge, operating in Oakland, CA, but with partners elsewhere. Their program elements are very similar to ours.
Project Exploration in the Chicago area, that introduces low-income middle and high school youth in the Chicago area to paleontology, and pave the way for their entry to college. They also received the Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering Mentoring in July 2009. Congratulations!
The National Girls Collaborative has a searchable directory of science, math, technology and engineering programs for girls across the country.
The Coalition for Science After School and Time Warner also have a Connect a Million Minds directory for STEM programs.
We apologize if any of the programs listed in these directories are not up to date. It's a hard job to keep them so!
