So you want to start a Science Club for Girls site!
How do you get started?
You've come to the right place! This page will give you all the information you need to set you on your way to begin a partnership with Science Club for Girls. We are always excited to help serve more girls and bring the magic and wonder of science to girls! We hope you will join us in our mission to increase the number of girls from underrepresented groups who will have the opportunity to participate in hands on science and engineering programs! Let's get started!
What are we looking for in a partner organization?
There are several factors that help us determine if we are good fit for you as a partner. Who are the champions at your location? Who makes up your organization's community? What other sorts of programs does your site host currently? So many questions! So, in order to simplify this process we have created a Partnership Evaluation Questionnaire that you can request by emailing our Executive Director, Connie Chow.
How long does the process take?
After the Partnership Screening Questionnaire has been submitted, it usually takes up to 4 to 6 weeks to review. Once we determine if you are a good fit for us, the site creation process can take anywhere from 6 months to a year, sometimes sooner.
What is involved in the site creation process?
We always visit a site and meet with the program's Director or Manager to discuss site possibilities. We also take a tour to make sure that there is enough space to host clubs.
We often like to start a test site at the location through one of our special programs such as school vacation week in February and April or by hosting a summer program as part of the site's summer camp offerings.
