So you want to be a SCFG Teen Program Mentor? Below are the options on volunteering with our Teen Programs. 

If you need to review what each program involves take a look at our Teen Programs Page which has more information about each of our Teen Programs. 

Please select one or more of the days and times below that you would be available to mentor. You can pick your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Choice of site. 1st being “Most Interested” and 3rd being “Least Interested”. 

Not sure where our Teen Programs are located? Check out the SCFG Google Map that has our sites and the ability for you to see how close they are to public transportation. 

Cambridge:

Rocket Team – Tuesdays, Kendall Square 3:00pm-5:45pm

Supper Sisters – Tuesdays, Area 4 Youth Center 5:30pm – 8:30pm

Media Team – Wednesdays, Kendall Square 3:30pm- 7:00pm

STEMinistas – Saturdays, Cambridge Community Art Center 2:00pm – 4:30pm

Boston

Monster Programming – Mondays, Dudley Square 3:45pm – 6:15pm

Coup de Code: Game Development – Wednesdays, Boston Waterfront 3:30pm – 6:00pm

Newton

STEMinistas – Saturdays, Pine Manor College 2:00pm – 4:00pm

We’d like to know more about your experience working with young people. SCFG Mentors volunteer to mentor our  girls Grades 8th-12th. 


New to working with youth? No Problem! We have an initial online orientation, 3 hour in person training, and on-going staff support that will help you lead a club with confidence.

Your Commitment to Science Club for Girls

Please make sure you are able to attend the required Volunteer Training for Teen Program Volunteers September 25th, 2013. The Volunteer Training is mandatory and very important for new volunteers. At this event you will be oriented and trained on how to work with our teens, cultural competency, and you will get to know your Teen Program Manager.
