Science Club for Girls Guest Blog on SoapBox Science

SoapBox Science devoted a series of guests posts to exploring the impact of role models on retention in science, especially for women and girls this summer.

Our high school programs fellow Meghna Marjadi adds her perspective, and introduces Nature readers to our unique near-peer mentoring model involving middle and high school girls as peer mentors for younger girls, and how their relationship with college and graduate student “adult” mentors influence their continued pursuits in science.
