Karen Whitney
Karen Whitney is President of The Sonder Group, a Life Science Executive Search firm. She builds teams for innovative life science companies developing breakthrough technologies for Synthetic Biology and Cell & Gene Therapies. Previously, she was VP, Business Development at the NewcoGen Group, Flagship Pioneering, a Venture Capital company. For over a decade, she held commercial leadership roles at PE Applied Biosystems (Now Thermo). She was a member of the founding business development team that launched Celera Genomics, the first company to sequence the human genome. She earned a BA in Biology from Colby College. Previously Karen served as Board Member, Officer (Treasurer) of Science Club for Girls and led the Finance, Development and Transforming the Face of Stem Strategy Committees. She earned a BA in Biology from Colby College.
