"I am particularly impressed that [SCFG] starts with girls as young as kindergarten and that older girls become junior assistant scientists. That apprenticeship model is how you learn to do science in a real lab and your club members already know how!"

SCIENCE CLUBS

Grades K-8

Science Club for Girls offers free, hands-on Science Clubs for girls and gender-expansive youth in grades K-8. Clubs meet once a week for 8 weeks each semester. Guided by volunteer women-in-STEM adult mentors and Junior Mentors in grades 8-12, participants delve into a different STEM topic each semester. Examples include chemistry, anatomy, engineering, computer science, environmental science, and physics.

We offer both in-person programs at local schools and other convenient locations, as well as virtual programs, ensuring accessibility for all. Regardless of the format, all programs feature hands-on learning, mentorship, and social-emotional learning. All materials are provided.
