“I think that Science Club for Girls will really change the 4%. There’s a lot of different girls of different races, and I think that would really help the 4% go way higher.”

“I was scared to do [Science Club for Girls], but now I learned when you’re scared to do it, it might be fun. It might not be scary.”

“I’ve always kind of been shy in school, in class especially…It’s just been very cool to be introduced to [STEM] and then have greater confidence and walk into male-dominated classrooms and be like, I know this, and I’m going to explain and ask questions.”

mix it ... Explosion!

Key Facts:
No Cost

All programs are free — removing a barrier to access.

More Opportunity

SCFG focuses on girls and gender-expansive youth from groups underrepresented in STEM by income, race, and/or first-generation college-bound.

More Access

More than 83% of participants and over 60% of mentors are from backgrounds underrepresented in STEM.

More Success

Over the past thirteen years, >90% of our high school juniors and seniors have gone on to college (up 20% over the national average), and of those girls, >55% of them chose to major in STEM.

A Smarter Future

SCFG participants stay interested in science through high school, select more challenging math and science courses, and are aware of STEM career possibilities because of SCFG.
