Spooky Science at MIT’s Girls Day!
Updated: Oct 27
On October 2, the SCFG crew hosted a special episode of our science show, SCFGLive!, in-person to over 60 children and their families at MIT’s Girls’ Day. The theme was SPOOKY SCIENCE, complete with hands-on activities and amazing demonstrations––like floating ghosts and puking pumpkins!––all geared towards teaching kids about physics, static electricity, chemistry, and chemical reactions.
This event was a fantastic opportunity for young scientists to participate in fun, hands-on STEM learning, meet the hosts of SCFGLive!, and participate in the live filming of the show! Cambridge Community Television (CCTV) recorded this special in-person episode of SCFGLive! and will be showing it on their channels soon.
Many thanks to MIT Open Spaces for inviting SCFG to share our love of science at Girls’ Day, and to CCTV for filming live!
