Inventory and Operations Coordinator
DESCRIPTION
Science Club for Girls (SCFG), a Cambridge-based non-profit established in 1994, seeks a
detail-oriented, organized, and proactive Inventory and Operations Coordinator. This role involves
doing inventory management, including cataloging, purchasing (online and in-person), and
receiving curriculum materials, as well as ensuring supplies are stocked and organized for
curriculum packing events. The Inventory and Operations Coordinator will work closely with the
Director of Operations to handle supplier relationships and will assist with administrative and
operational tasks to support our growing organization. The ideal candidate will be motivated by
our mission, have experience in operations and/or inventory management, and be able to
collaborate effectively across teams.
DUTIES
● Do the curriculum supply inventory so all materials and storage areas remain organized, clearly
labeled, and fully stocked.
● Purchase and receive curriculum supplies, track incoming orders, and work with vendors in
partnership with the Director of Operations.
● Assist with the development of the inventory catalog system.
● Prepare and organize office and storage space for completed curriculum kits, including setup,
maintenance, and seasonal reorganization.
● Work closely with the Program Team to determine supply needs and keep materials ready for
packing and distribution.
● Collaborate with the Development Team to plan, prepare, and support curriculum packing
events.
● Set up and maintain organized tables, materials, and workstations throughout the packing
seasons.
● Support general office functions by maintaining shared spaces, organizing and ordering office
supplies, ordering monthly lunches, assisting during events, and completing other
administrative and hands-on tasks as needed.
● Assist the Operations Department with administrative tasks including maintaining office
technology such as printers, assisting the Director of Operations with expense reporting, and
completing other administrative and hands-on tasks as needed.
● Perform regular manual labor and physical tasks, staying flexible and ready to assist wherever
needed both administratively and hands-on to keep the office running smoothly.
REQUIRMENTS
● Have prior operations and/or inventory experience required.
● Demonstrate exceptional organizational skills with the ability to
manage physical spaces, including organizing shelves and setting up
storage areas.
● Have prior procurement and purchasing experience.
● Be comfortable with both online and in-person shopping to source club
materials and supplies.
● Be able to coordinate, accept, move and process large deliveries.
● Have experience managing relationships with external vendors.
● Be able to work across multiple teams.
● Be proficient in Google Sheets.
● Have experience with supporting and preparing for events.
● Have experience in providing administrative support and the willingness
to be flexible and be adaptable as needs change.
● Have strong problem solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot
inventory and ordering logistics issues and propose timely solutions.
● Be able to lift 50+ lbs as this is a hands-on role.
● Have a valid Massachusetts driver’s license, reliable access to a vehicle, and be
comfortable driving a cargo van or box truck as needed.

SALARY AND BENEFITS
SCFG is located in Kendall Square, convenient to the Kendall/MIT MBTA station. This position
requires on-site work 5 days a week. Occasionally, SCFG participates in organizational or
partner related events that occur on weekdays and weekends. The salary range for this
position is $55,000-$60,000. Benefits include 401(k), health and dental insurance, 3-weeks
paid time off plus one week off at the end of the calendar year, 13 paid holidays, and 6
personal/sick days annually. This position is open to Massachusetts residents only. A valid
Massachusetts driver's license is required for this position. The role requires driving to vendors,
clubs, and events within the Greater Boston area. Candidates must be willing to travel
throughout the region. The ability to operate a vehicle in compliance with Massachusetts state
laws is essential to perform the job effectively.
