Benisha Marseille
Program Team Intern
Benisha’s journey into STEM began in middle school as a participant in Science Club for Girls at Mother Caroline Academy. She quickly became invested in the hands-on experiments—especially those related to Astronomy—and from that point on, she declared she would be a scientist. Determined to stay immersed in science, she joined other local STEM programs where she also discovered her love for coding.
When she aged out of the participant programs, Benisha returned as a Junior Mentor. As she’s shared in interviews and promotional work for SCFG, she felt incredibly grateful to continue being part of Science Club virtually, which gave her the flexibility to stay involved while keeping up with school.
She recently completed her first year at the College of the Holy Cross, where she’s pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science. With her first year as a Mentor now complete, Benisha has been part of Science Club for Girls for nearly nine years! She’s returned for a second summer as an intern, supporting her favorite program: the Summer Rocketry Program.
In her free time, Benisha enjoys reading sci-fi and astronomy fact books.
“My favorite scientist is my middle school teacher, Miss Lisa Fauman, who inspired me to pursue science and explore new things!”
