Dr. Carling Hay is a climate scientist working at the intersection of climate risk and finance.
As Global Head of Research and Product Development, she leads a cross-functional team of scientists and analysts focused on translating complex climate science into actionable insights for financial institutions. Carling's career spans academia, early-stage startups, and large-scale data companies. Before her current role, she was Lead Climate Scientist at risQ Inc., a climate risk startup, and an Assistant Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Boston College. She holds a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Toronto and a B.S. in Physics from McGill University. Carling has been involved with Science Club for Girls for five years, serving on the Development Committee and co-chairing the Young Professionals Network Fundraising Committee. She is passionate about ensuring the next generation of girls has the mentorship and tools to thrive in STEM.
