This fall, we welcomed 24 corporate groups into the Science Club for Girls office to help us pack our STEM Curriculum Kits for the Fall 2025 semester.
Our corporate volunteer groups play an essential role in the success of our programs. They pack every single STEM Curriculum Kit that reaches our participants, ensuring that our young young scientists have well-organized, ready-to-use materials for their Science Clubs each week. Their dedication and care make our work possible.
Fall 2025 Packing Events: By the Numbers
24 corporate groups
357 volunteers
6,960 STEM Curriculum Kits packed

Materials Packed
20,880 pipe cleaners for our nervous system, circulatory system, skeletal system, immune system units
19,140 beads for the nervous system and immune system activities
38,280 straws for skeletal system, respiratory system, and circulatory system experiments
214,890 inches (about 17,907 feet) of yarn - cut to various lengths for our digestive system experiment

Every volunteer packing event begins with a brief presentation on the mission and history of Science Club for Girls centering the communities we serve and the programs we run. Volunteers then head to our Packing Area, where they inventory, prepare, and pack supplies for our Science Clubs. Each event closes with a simple reflection activity: volunteers share one word that describes how they feel in that moment.
“Words can’t even express how grateful we are for our volunteers,” says SCFG Development Manager Leah Kelly. “It’s incredible to see people who really care about our mission show up and do the hard work to make sure that our Science Clubs can run.”
